FOR PARENTS AND EDUCATORS:
Oregon Health Standards and
Benchmarks for the Promotion of Sexual Health
It’s important that you are aware of the Standards and Benchmarks for the Promotion of Sexual Health set by the Oregon Department of Education (ODE).
The ODE is responsible for implementing the state’s public education policies, including academic standards and testing, credentials, and more.
For the most part these benchmarks are not optional, but are mandatory instruction intended for all students. Read more about the passage of Erin's Law.
We at Restore Hope want everyone to know these standards exist and to have easy access to them. We believe our world would be a safer place if every student had the opportunity to learn these benchmarks throughout their school years.
If you are a parent, please look up what your student should be learning at their age level by clicking on the links below. If they are not getting this information, contact their school to discuss why this is so very important for our kids.
If you are a teacher and have questions, please contact us and we will assist you in any way that we can. Our goal is the safety of every child in every community throughout our state.
